Crown Mountain Park began an amazing community free Crown Summerfest event in 2015.  Bruce and Pam Wood (owners of Above It All Balloon Co.) created a balloon festival at the Crown Mountain Park in the Basalt/Carbondale mid-valley area in 2017.  So, in 2018 we merged the two events and created the Crown Summerfest Balloon Bash!  It was a lot of fun and the community embraced the hot air balloons in the morning, the awesome taco fest in the afternoon with the live music in the evening and the beautiful balloon glow conclusion at sunset Saturday and another morning of balloons Sunday.  We had a fabulous turnout of locals and visitors while our local sponsors were extremely supportive!  2019 was another fabulous year for our little balloon festival with almost 20 balloons participating and flying in the mid-valley area.  We are currently planning for 2020 this next June 2020!
